This book records all food from the town Triang, and the memories of myself on hometown. Eat and play, enjoy! :P
Besides the My Mee's Curry Mee, there is another option for the Triang folks - Silver River Restaurant's Curry Mee. Tasty curry soup with ferment taufu, and noodle in it...miss the taste so much after having this.
Mee + Curry + Yong Taufu is always the best combination! Yummy!
Silver River Restaurant is located behind the british shop lot at Kampung Baru Cina's old street (旧街场).

I am going to introduce the food in my hometown - Roti Canai (Indian bread). We have the freshly cooked indian bread in my hometown, cook as per request! It needs to be served while hot. It usually served with gravy, the gravy can be different, there are bean gravy, curry chicken, curry mutton or curry fish. Must have this every time I go back there!
The hawker center.

Roti Canai served with bean + curry chicken gravy, and a cup of Milo - my favourite breakfast!

A very significant food in my town - Hokkien Mee (noodle). It is very much different from what we had in KL or Selangor because of the noodle. In Pahang, small towns produce their own mee, the Char (fried) Mee always use this kind of mee in Triang, and this make people from other places never taste it before.
The kopitiam that I had the hokkien mee breakfast is located at Taman Da Long, it is behind the shop lots opposite Triang Secondary School (SMK Triang). Some say the taste of hokkien mee in this shop is ranking number 2 in Triang, of course, the no. 1 most delicious hokkien mee in Triang would be Restaurant Lai Xiang which is located behind the old british shop lots in Kampung Baru Cina's old street (旧街场). The cook is getting old and we are worried that they will be no heir for this delicious Triang's hokkien mee.
Again...I cannot take a fast shot in time, my husband took part of it. Grrrrhhhh!

This is Pork Mee Soup from Uncle Ah Ching's stall. Pork Mee Soup - it's just an ordinary mee soup that can be found anywhere in KL or Selangor or anywhere in Malaysia, but this pork soup is totally different from what I had in my area.
First - the noodle (mee), the alkaline in the making of noodle is far less than those yellow noodle from KL or Selangor, no preservatives also, one more time I have to say 'Proudly Triang'. :P
Second - the soup, pork bone soup that no one can compete in the town.
Third - the pork, minced pork and sliced pork in soup, I prefer pork more than chicken and beef. It might be my personal preference and fish cake are added into it so that it is not that plain :D
Uncle Ching beside his stall, haha...and he got a shock when I took this picture. This Kopitiam located opposite the old hypermarket, what I can remember is Yi Hua Hypermarket, I'm not sure what its name now cause there had been few times of changes, or can be say that this kopitiam is opposite a pharmacy and hypermarket at new street in Triang.
Do you ever seen the traditional Kopitiam (Chinese Cafe)? Here's the one! Hainanese Kopitiam, located at the old street at Triang's Kampung Baru Cina, with a hainanese boss who prepares every cup of drink by himself to serve every customer. This is the kopitiam that I visit the most every time I am back to Triang.

Their famous dishes - Fried Pan Mee (1 of My favourite)

If you don't like heavy breakfast, then try this - Porridge.

Ermm...I don't know what to say, and I don't know how it happens...the photo below is Hokkien Mee with egg! Sometimes, me as a young woman from this small town Triang just couldn't understand, at the same time salute to Triang folks, they can be very creative and tempt to accept new stuff easily. Egg in hokkien mee, my first time trying it was fantastic and it is eye poping! Ha!

Then, the very famous dishes in this restaurant - Piao Xiang 飘香. A mashed taro ring with fried pork meat stir with onions, cucumber cubes, pineaples cubes and tomato cubes in sweet and sour gravy in the middle. A must try dishes you might never miss!

And this restaurant is originally located at old Kampung Baru China, behind the old British street and now there gonna be a huge construction there.
The owner of this Lok Tin Seafood Restaurant has moved his shop to new residential area behind the Triang Secondary School (SMK Triang).

I have to introduce 1 of the food in this My Mee(我的面) food stall/shop - Curry Mee. Actually, people in Triang love the curry mee, dried wantan mee and snow ice with 8 ingreditents in this shop, I will introduce 1 by 1 and in this post, let's see the curry mee first :D
I gotta let you know that this shop has been opened for business before I was borned. It has been set up more than 30 Years, I like to spend my afternoon time there for a cold snow ice and this is the MUST eat snack every time I go back to the town.
Look at the Curry Mee, my husband can't wait to taste it before I was in time to capture the bowl of curry.

Tau ge, Taufu Bok, Char siu...all in the curry (this make me drooling)

Next on will be its Snow Ice and dried wantan mee...cheers!
