Here you go, Virgo...

As November opens, you may feel a new sense of peace. Saturn has officially left Virgo, and although this tough love planet will be back in April for a 14-week stint, you will now enjoy a newfound sense of confidence and strength. You should feel proud, dear Virgo. You've walked the gauntlet and met many challenges. You may have suffered health difficulties, relationship nightmares, and a whole range of other situations you probably never thought you would have to face. Now you may feel like Jack the Giant Killer. You are wiser, more practical, and more resourceful than when you started this phase back in September 2007. When Saturn is done in July 2010, you won't see him in Virgo again until 2036...

10 Best Changes For Diet

I found this link from my friend's email, http://www.bodyrock.tv/2009/03/21/10-beneficial-changes-i-have-made-in-m...

Nice article talking about healthy life style, among the 10 changes below, how many items can you apply in your daily meals?

1. Giving up on diet soda’s.

2. Giving up on artificial sweeteners.

3. Eliminating Alcohol.

4. Drinking Water.

5. Cutting out ketchup and BBQ sauces.

6. Eating 6 small meals each day.

7. Giving up on Instant Oatmeal.

8. Giving up Peanut Butter.

9. Cutting down on Sugar.

10. Eating more veggies.

1. Giving up on diet soda’s. This was a real challenge. To give you an idea of how addicted I was to diet coke, I was drinking 6 – 8 cans per day minimum. Diet Soda was basically the only liquid I was drinking. I remember drinking it at the gym. It got so bad that I kept it beside the bed in case I got thirsty in the night. When I first started to cut back on my consumption I got headaches and found myself getting really grumpy. I forced myself to start drinking water, which satisfied my thirst but did nothing to cut my cravings. I really had to focus on the fact that these drinks were loaded with chemicals – I had to actively shift my perception around diet soda. As the weeks wore on the cravings lessened to the point where I have no difficulty now choosing water.

2. Giving up on artificial sweeteners
. I was using these little packets of chemicals in my coffee everyday, and I was ignorant to the fact that many of the zero sugar or calorie reduced foods I was eating were just loaded with this stuff. After giving up on the constant stream of artificial sweeteners in my diet soda’s it just made sense to cut out these chemicals in the foods I am eating.

3. Eliminating Alcohol.
This was not a huge challenge, but I believe it was a very important choice. I just turned 34, and my university days of partying it up every weekend are long passed. I kind of naturally reached the point where drinking just stopped being something that was socially necessary or enjoyable. There are just so many minuses when it comes to drinking that it stopped making sense for me personally. On a purely nutritional level, the bottom line is that Alcohol is full of sugar and is loaded with empty calories. I know that consuming moderate amounts of beer and certain wines is said to hold healthy benefits, but for me taking it completely out of the equation is the choice that makes the most sense. On a side note, the only time I have ever picked up a cigarette is when I have been drinking. For some reason drinking and “social smoking” tend to go hand in hand for me. If I have had a few drinks I am almost always tempted to have a cigarette (or two). This is enough of a reason for me to avoid drinking.

4. Drinking Water.
There are many benefits to keeping your body properly hydrated – you can read about some of them here. Drinking enough water so that your body can carry out all of it’s functions properly is a cornerstone of good health and vital to keeping your metabolism running at optimum levels. I am still establishing my daily water routine, but I have found that keeping a tall bottle close by as a constant reminder to drink is a good way to ensure I keep my body properly hydrated.

5. Cutting out ketchup and BBQ sauces
. This was huge – ever since I was little I drenched my foods in ketchup, and I basically put it on everything. About 4 months ago I started putting ketchup and BBQ sauces on my food together. This stuff contains a lot of sugar, especially if you pour lakes of it on your plate like I was. I cut these sauces out, and now I use different varieties and flavors of hot sauces – they are very low in calories, have zero fat and have no sugar. They can be high in sodium, but you really only need to use a dash to add a lot of flavor. Last week I started experimenting with different flavors of mustard like Dijon and Honey Mustard, which are recommend in various clean eating guides as a great way to add a splash of flavor to your food.

6. Eating 6 small meals each day.
I am still working on this one and it is an ongoing challenge. I’m not the most time oriented person, and keeping a schedule was never my strong suit. Also I tend to like to eat my big meals in the evenings and late at night which means I tend to go to bed on a full stomach – not the best plan for boosting the metabolism and loosing body fat. I was never a breakfast person so I have had to adjust to eating my biggest meal of the day first thing in the morning. To make sure I don’t forget to eat during the day I have started setting my cell phone alarm to go off every 3 hours so that I have a reminder when I need to eat. It definitely takes some advanced planning to make this work, but it also helps to ensure that your metabolism  will be working at an optimal level.

7. Giving up on Instant Oatmeal.
I absolutely hated eating oatmeal as a kid. It tasted like glue. My mom tried t get us to eat it because it was suppose to be healthy. Clean eating experts say that Oatmeal is a good choice for keeping you feeling full and satisfied. I fell into the trap of buying instant flavored Oatmeal because the more healthy choice of plain quick oats that Zuzana eats caused me to have a taste bud flash back to my early childhood. Up until two weeks ago I was eating a lot of this instant flavored oatmeal – my favorite flavor was maple and cinnamon. I think that I got away with this so long because on the box it says “weight control” and “33% less sugar.” The other thing was I just wanted to eat it. When I finally faced up to how much sugar was in each bowlful of this stuff I knew that if I ever wanted to reach my fitness goals this sweet sticky sugary goodness would have to go. So now sadly (or happily I guess) I have switched back to the glue flavored plain jane quick oats and milk.

8. Giving up Peanut Butter.
This brown nectar was almost my complete undoing. I have a greedy passion for peanut butter – and the worst is that these cravings tend to strike at about 4 am. I can’t tell you how many times I would tip toe down stairs in the middle of the night and make myself a peanut butter sandwich at 4 am – and this was going on for years. When I say sandwich what I am really talking about is a good 3-4 heaping table spoons of of this nutty heaven spread so thick that my mouth was practically glued shut after the first bite.  It was absolute bliss to down one of these fat bombs and chase it with half a liter of cold milk. Nothing knocks out your lights faster and puts you back to sleep quicker than peanut butter. Basically the only solution in this situation is an outright ban – it’s just not allowed in the house.

9. Cutting down on Sugar.
This is really about getting into the habit of reading labels. I also discovered this amazing sweetener called Stevia which is 100% natural and tastes almost identical to sugar. I use it for sweetening all kinds of foods and I even keep a few packets in my jacket for when I grab a coffee on the go.

10. Eating more veggies.
Since Zuzana and I have moved into eating clean, we have been eating a lot more veggies and incorporating them into our meals on a regular basis. A easy and cheap way to do this is to buy a frozen bag of mixed veggies at the supermarket and keep it stashed in the freezer. There are a few different mixes to choose from and it makes adding servings of vegetables to your meals a snap.

AVATAR - A Revolution of CGI Movie

Oh yea...I'm totally in love with the movie. I watched this movie AVATAR 2 times, in 2D and 3D Cinema, it is awesome! Breath taking! I just cann't forget the beautiful planet Pandora created by James Cameron who is the director | producer | writer of the movie. With Jake and Neytiri in the movie, brings the audience to a whole new world that full of fantasies and actions. I feel that I'm still in Pandora with Jake and Neytiri! James Cameron has successfully made us believe that the Pandora world is real!

Well, here's why I think this movie is worth the tickey price:-

  • Story line - Not confusing. Clearly describe the choice made by Jake, what is the bad and what is the good.
  • Story Background - Pandora, a Planet which has the resources that human is looking for, and human invade the natives.
  • Perfect CGI - Awesome CGI, a successful CGI movie ever! It is not just like the old Final Fantasy CG movie...this AVATAR is real!
  • Na'vi Language - James Cameron hired a team to re-write a new language.
  • Characters - Grace, Jake, Neytiri...the interaction between characters. Friendship, Romance, Love, Battles...

So, why wait? Go buy ticket and enjoy the incredible movie ever with your love one...!

Months That is Full of Weddings!!!

Well...my friends, they are 2 each had wedding dinner in the end of November and early of December. So, I have to give Ang Pow continuously, and pity my wallet, it is almost dried! Just kidding...ha! I am always happy when seeing my best friends getting married. Both them are nice guys, and so we had the gathering during the wedding with other best friends.

Since we start working, some of them in Singapore, and some in KL, and myself in Selangor. We are separated for so long and we still got each other in our heart. Wishing them a very happy wedding and set up a very happy family in the future, then take care of their children and wives with faith. Some say getting married is foolish decision, and I say yes, it 'may' be foolish but yet it is wonderful, for me setting up a family is the most hardest thing in the world and only people with guts can make such decision!

Useful Article for Web Developers - What is DarkMailer?

Dark Mailer is a controversial bulk e-mail sending program. It relies on zombie computers to send e-mail.

If your website contains this scripts and it had been start spamming, the hosting provider will treat your website as malicious site and suspend your account. This make the website owner couldn't login to Control Panel hence they cannot manage their website. And even serious thing happen is all users over the world couldn't access your website, even Google will also list your website as spamming and malicious site, FireFox will treat it as 'Reported Attack Site!'.

The only solution is to request the web hosting provider to clean the scripts from your website physical directory and re-activate your cpanel account.

As for Google, they will need to review and verify your website so that they can proceed to remove your website from their malicious site listing. Good Luck!

*Text below taken from Wikipedia, direct link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Mailer

How DarkMailer works

The software is able to send 500,000 e-mail messages per hour from a regular cable modem connection. It affords near-total anonymity because of the networking and is often used by spammers[citation needed]. It currently does have an official website for downloading. But with a price 65$ for the standalone mailer, 80$ with included proxies, and 120 with a bundle of millions of email lists.

Robert Soloway, one of Internet's biggest spammers, used it. On July 23, 2008, the 29-year-old Solway was sentenced to nearly four years in prison and ordered to forfeit more than $708,000 in income. Prosecutors had asked for a 9-year sentence. He has also lost civil suits for spamming, and owes civil penalties totaling more than US $17 million.

Where It's Sold?

As the project was killed due to controversy it was continued by the original coders partner. There have been a number of "Free" versions floating around the internet of this spam tool. Every "Free" version contains errors and Trojans. The new site is http://www.darkmailer.info where it still thrives, the problem with trying to stop sales of this tool is the tool itself is not illegal. But the user's actions and how he uses it "Can be" illegal.

Cracks and branches

Dark Mailer is the hub of quite a few mass spamming utilities. One of the most prominent is dm.cgi, a script which bombards predefined e-mail addresses using the CGI capabilities of compromised websites or whole servers.

What The Kids Did During The Holidays?

Well, as a father, my husband promised my kids to bring them to waterpark Sunway Lagoon, and this time he had fulfilled it! And so we made the move to Sunway Lagoon for our very first family trip (yea...only us!!).

Part 1

Woke up early in the morning, the kids set themselves up and get ready downstair while I was packing up the towel and other stuffs. They are so excited, I never see them to be this exciting during the school days. Normally they move very slow, but their talking speed, walking speed, moving speed have been dramatically increased...and only for half a day.

Their eyes turned into LOVE shape when they see water, they splash, swim, roll, float in the pool.

When it's time to change, I saw their tiring faces.

Sunway lagoon

And they don't even give me a smile during tea break, or they are not 'able' to do so.

Part 2

Next, the kids never been fishing before. Again, my huband got them a chance to fishing! Not actually the real fishing...ermm...it is actually a prawn fishing?? We booked for 1 hour fishing at the 'fishing center' near Taman Desa, KL.

Because of raining that day, we had to fish at the small prawn pool. Again, they are excited because this is their first time!

Part 3

Having Dim Sum is our favourite breakfast along the time. We took this Teck Kee's Dim Sum at Taman Maluri, Kepong, before we heading back to our hometown. It is sooo delicious!!!

Part 4

I don't know why and I cann't stop them from playing in - Long Kang (Ditch). I remember when I was still a kid, playing in ditch is so much fun, climbing up and down, and chating in the ditch can be a childhood memory. Yes, it stink and dirty. Sometimes, I couldn't care for so much, it is holidays and just let them have fun in their way? Yes, they may.

Part 5

Hey guys, it is FIGHTING time! The kids and my youngest brother had a lot of fun in front of XBox 360, the latest entertainment in the house! Playing the game Soul Calibur, fighting between sisters and uncle, plus the parents.

I said: Okay kids, what do you not satisfy, let us settle it in the game!

Kids and my brother: LOL

Part 6

And myself, was so excited every time I stayed over night in my parents' house.

2009 November

First, another new month begins, a lots to catch up for last month, I had 'abandoned' this website for 3 weeks, I'm bad! This year end is not the best one, almost the worst but not yet. I have to work harder for this year end because 3 months more to 2010 Chinese New Year, have to figure out what is the best plan for the coming year 2010.

A lot of questions in my mind for year 2010:

1. Will it be better for me to transfer my kids to another day care?
2. Will it be better for me to look for a new job?
3. Will it be good to stay here or go back to my hometown?
4. Am I able to buy a house?
5. And own a car?

The question is - no career = no car & house. There's still a long way for me to reach what I always dream of.

Animal Ride - She's no longer interested

YiYi, she has been actively talk, jump, run and play during her younger age, just like my youngest daughter QingQing. One day of the previous month, I realised something, some slight changes on YiYi - she's no longer interested the animal ride. Can be seen that QingQing was enjoying the ride except for her, YiYi feels very bored on the ride. That gave me a slight thought, she has grown up. Soon, she'll be lady.

QingQing on the ride, smile along the ride. YiYi, she has no expression along the ride. Haha.

Atmosphere changes in 15 minutes

This moment was captured using my 'pah liah' handphone, where the sunny sky suddenly change to dark and windy within 15 minutes. I left my office on 6pm (Sharp!) heading to fetch my kids near my house. It was a bright sky, not until 15 minutes later, wind blew and the darkest sky made me shock.

*Note: It was only 6:15pm! Every one had to turn on the light.

Hometown - Triang - Are you a small town girl?

I come from a small town, Triang which has around 20,000 population. Triang is the principal town of Bera district in Pahang, Malaysia, located 32km away from Temerloh, the second second biggest town in Pahang

Listen carefully, the second biggest town in Pahang state. Haha.

I highlighted that is because most of the people think that Triang is just a small town populated some old folks and young men that never leave that area, considered as 'Kampung Kia'. Well, has to say that none of my friends know about this Triang area when I first come to Kuala Lumpur to study, they thought of it is just a rural. Yes, it is rural BUT the people living there is not as native as they thought. When I first met with those 'City Grown Up' friends, first thing in their mind towards us small town girls is:-

  1. Naive
  2. Ignorance
  3. clueless
  4. ...

Even the most impolite sentence I listen from a big city friend is - 'I know you are nice, but you are way too NAIVE!'. Well, did your parents teach you to talk in this way? I treat you as friend, is heart by heart, not heart by the dog lung.

Hmm...I don't mind as long as they can be my friend, I will always care about them. Due to where I've grown up, I am lucky live at this small town,  I don't have to act civilities, don't have to pretend to be friendly, living in a small town is always that great, I can always be myself! I can wear short pant, a plain T-Shirt and with only slippers, ride on my motorcycle to have my breakfast in the morning, then enjoy tea break under a shading tree beside a kopitiam. It is wonderful and simple.

Remember those old days, I ride on my father's motorbike (Honda Cup), fetched 1 of my best friends to go to a pond that near another friend's house. The pond with fish, oh...I wonder will I do that again for now. We jumped into the pond and catch the fish. After we are done, all our body were full of mud, including our hair.

This 'Kampung Style' of life, we enjoy every moment, living every seconds with no worries. Ha! I miss you guys, my friends. No matter where you are, what you did and how long it has been, you are always in my heart.

November - It's Wet

They put fireworks, fire crackers liek us Chinese, visiting relatives during the celebration. It is near year end, soon it will be Christmas. That remind me of last year, when I join current company, I meets new colleages, new environment, new bosses...and I like my job. For this 1 and a half year working there, I never thought of leaving it. Until now the boss inform us of their financial problem, it affects my emotion for the whole week, that some colleagues from other team might need to leave us...

Here, I wish them all the best.

Working in small companies is not such a bad idea

What do you all think about working in small company? I personally have been working in small company since my first job, in between the working period of 6 years, I worked as IT executive in a big company for 1 year, 5 years in small company. 1 of my ex-companies has only 3 workers. Therefore, many people encourage me to look for a bigger company, but...will it suitable for me or you?

This content is taken from Allyhunt.com for your reference.

In general, working in large companies is always the desire of fresh graduates. The advantages of working in one cannot be denied with the most obvious reasons being the opportunity to participate in the graduate training schemes and having a higher starting salary with good benefits as compared to smaller companies.

However, if large companies are all they’re eyeing, then it’s not possible to get everyone on board. Do you know that SMEs actually account a much bigger share of companies compared to large organizations in Malaysia? Let me present you some facts. First off, what is an SME? They are organizations with less than 150 full-time employees for manufacturing sector and less than 50 full-time employees for services sector. From SME Info, it was noted in recent years, the SMEs account for 99.2% of total business establishments and they also account for 96.5% of all enterprises in the manufacturing sector.

The statistics indicated several things but a clear fact is this: you are more likely to end up in an SME and why not? We know of some fresh graduates that insist they wanted to work only in large organizations. Did they miss out something here? Here are some points on why working in small companies is not such a bad idea after all:-

1.Job roles in smaller companies are less specialized and often less rigidly defined. You get the chance to wear many hats and get a better view of the entire operation which helps you to multi-task and adapt to changes easily.

2.Working environment is often more informal and less bureaucratic than in larger organizations.

3.Heard of “big fish in a small pond”? When the setup is small, your work performance can come across as loud and visible. That way, you get recognized easily for your achievements.

4.Sometimes when the setup is really small, you even get the chance to work with the business owners directly and what better way to have your work noticed immediately.

5.More opportunities to have your ideas heard and implemented.

6.Smaller firms usually practice flexible working hours. Other terms are more flexible too as access to business owners and partners of the company is greater as compared to larger companies.

7.Research has shown that job satisfaction and promotion prospects are often higher with small companies.

8.And should small business owners find the right combination of motivation and talent in an employee, the opportunity to grow is very much a reality and probably a chance to be made as a business partner in the long term.

You may lose out in terms of higher starting pay but if you out-perform yourself within a short period of time, you may see a great jump in your salary thereafter (another take on flexibility as small companies don’t often have a salary bracket for different levels or positions).

So, the next time you see a job advertisement by a small company, do not write if off straight away. Getting a job there may turn out to be the best career of your lifetime!

Year End School Holidays

It is school holidays again, this time it is 6 weeks! My mom cann't wait to bring my kids back home, and she just came here last Saturday, shopping here and dinner, then take my kids back to hometown on Sunday. And so, I become single again!!! Ha!

For the coming 6 weeks, I can re-experience single life. I will go watch movie, meet friends, dinner with my brother, shopping alone, watch TV programs without disturbing...yeah! And I definitely miss my kids every night just like yesterday, I miss them whenever I see their pillows, school bags, handkerchief, chairs...TV remote controls.

The reason why I'll miss them when I see the remote controls is they always have it when they are home. They are the holders. After their leaving, I realised that the remote control for my Astro is gone, I cann't find it anywhere, I have no idea where they hide it. I called them and they told me they forget where they put it. Aiyar...how does this happen???

2009 October

First, on Tuesday, September 15, Saturn will oppose Uranus. Saturn, now in Virgo, rules responsibilities, respect for tradition, and upholding the tried and true. Uranus is now in Pisces and rules creativity, chaos, rebellion, and all events that are unanticipated. Uranus is the slower moving planet, so Uranus will dominate this confrontation with Saturn. Innovation will be necessary from everyone.

This aspect comes by approximately every 40 years and the last time was 1965-1968.

These two planets will schedule several confrontations before going their separate ways. Saturn and Uranus first opposed one another on November 4, 2008, then this year on February 5, and will now on September 15. Next year they will meet again on April 26 and on July 26, 2010. After that, Saturn and Uranus will not oppose one another again until 2056...

A New Month Begin

Slowly, it comes to the beginning of a new month. As usual, I overslept, my elder daughter's alarm didn't ring for no reason, she missed the school bus, I use my right hand to shake my husband to wake up and fetch her to school. My husband after that went to work. Then, I wake up late again around 7:45AM, get myself ready to work, wake my youngest daughter, get her a fast breakfast, prepare some biscuits in her bag and fetch her to day care, then I go to work. And, I am late.

It's near year end, this week is just right after Hari Raya, the feeling is just like everyday is Friday. Everybody is still holiday mood, so do I...ha ha. The work load is slowing down in office, colleagues are all quiet as usual, radio is still turned to My FM, but today I manage to turn it to One FM. The office atmosphere is like in the grave yard. Everyone here seems like zombie.

Well, this is year end mood. This weekend will be Mid-Autumn Festival, again me and family are going back hometown to celebrate it, with our old folks, and let the children play without boundary! The smell of hometown, the life of hometown...is always that good.

Happy Mid-Autumn to All!

2009 September

Most people think of August as a month to play, and September a time to buckle down and work. Actually, it will be the opposite for you. August will be a very busy and productive month, where you will have to make a number of decisions about your everyday work life in response to fast moving events. September, on the other hand, will be slow, difficult, and confusing, with many events requiring that you backtrack and redo things...

September would not a month when you should be making any important decisions or announcements. The only way to deal with September will be to sit it out and hope for better days, which will arrive in October.

Before I launch into August, let's talk about September for a moment. For one thing, Mercury, your ruler and planet of intellect and communication, will be out to lunch, in retrograde throughout. That alone would create problems, but that's not all.

The real difficulties begin to mount at mid-month, when Saturn opposes Uranus and conjoins the Sun, setting off a rather somber set of vibrations, and at the same time, Uranus will oppose the Sun. September 17 is sure to be one of the hardest days of the year, and it will be followed by a new moon that will emphasize practicality but will not give an inch of space for dreams or fantasy. Any matter you ignored or just hoped would go away on its own will come at you full force next month, and you will need to face it and move on. September will require that you have a quiet, empty schedule so that you can have time and room to respond to what happens. A partner will likely be a big focus.

I hope this September will be some interesting month for me because I started to feel bored and lost after months of work. So, hope this month will bring a big different for me.

Cheer!

28th Birthday Wish

Today is my 28th birthday, I received SMS, calls from family and friends. Thanks to them who remember, and the wishes.

Yeah! Stay young! Heee...!

And, wish my family and relatives stay happy; for my friends, I wish them always do the best for themselves.

A Day in Mall - Part 2

Another day we spent in a Shopping Mall - IOI Mall. That was a day my mom brought David to have medical check up at Sunway Medical Centre, but unfortunately all the specialist was on holiday that day! So, we go to have a walk in the shopping mall, my kids have the chance (again) to take the Mary Go Round ride. They just non-stop repeating the words 'horsie riding horsie riding horsie riding horsie riding...' until we reach there. We spent our day there, had lunch there, walk around...

See their funny faces on the Mary Go Round.

horsie ride

At the end of the day, I suggest David to go back to Emergency Unit at Sunway Medical to have a check on his head, which was knocked badly during accident 3 weeks ago and all of us worry about his condition. Although the outside wound is fully healed but there may be some blood left inside or something else. He went through CT scan, MRI scan and GT scan, stay 3 days and 2 nights at Sunway Medical Centre for a thorough checkup on his brain. Yea..those specialist came back to work the next day.

After all scanning, the final result is he is ALRIGHT and ready to go home, and is going to come back for second check up a month later. Bless him.

Steven Lum Full Month Dinner

Last Saturday was Karen's son full month, we had dinner with the family at a restaurant in Seremban.

Steven Lum Full Month

This is one of the family gathering this year, I enjoy the moment. When we start putting our heart to others, we trust each other, and we will start to care about each other, then we know how to share information, telling what are we thinking and we have somebody to rely on - our family.

I've gone through the period that the relatives didn't care about each other in the family, no believing, no caring...because we afraid to share, to tell and to listen. But it never been too late to start learning these that we might had forgotten... never though of it is actually so simple. Family is always the right place for us to share our life.

Update to the site

Latest update to this site is the interface design and layout, but forget some little tiny things for enhancing it, such as html editor for content creation...

There are a few posts pending to upload for the past 10 days, those days are my weakness day of the month - not feeling well, dizzy, tired. Somehow, will update all those as soon as I can.

One important thing that I am going to highlight in this month is my dear cousin sister's son full month dinner, we attended the dinner at Seremban and had great time with the old folks and cousins. It is a warm family gathering as well.

Visiting New Born Nephew

There has been long time...I never smell a new born. The last time I smell it, it was 4 years ago, the arrival of my youngest  kid.

On the way back to my hometown, we route to Seremban to have a visit to my cousin sister, Karen who has give birth a baby boy.

He is so cute...he has...

And, this is the mother! My cousin sister, had been waiting 48 hours before scissarian. Enough to prove that how sacrify a mother is.

Must mention that my cousin Ken introduces us Seremban food - Squid Mee Hoon 鱿鱼米粉. Squid slices plus stew pork slices in mee hoon, not salty and not oily, suitable for all level of resident.

When we are old

It was 2 days ago..Monday. We was celebrating YIYI's birthday. My dad was a little bit emotional, keep himself alone in the room facing the computer. At last my mom told me that one of his old friend who was an engineer nearby here years ago, pass away. He is 52 years old, 2 years younger than my dad. When I hear of this, I can feel that my dad is sad, at the same time realise something that cannot be changed - aging. I know that he has many things to worry about, his sons, his daughter, his wife, his health...I don't know what else, career maybe. But, he has did the best all the time, enough to be the idol of my life.

Yes, no one can defeat the increasing of our age. Me, too. I'm going 30 years, soon (2 years later!). I'm now 28 years and 8 days old now. 722 days to 30 years old. Well, one thing I can do now is do my best all the time, be hardworking, show off what I have, never wasting time, enjoy everyday, every hour, every minutes, and every second...who knows 10 years later I could be a millionaire!!? Haha.

Have a nice day. Cheer!

2009 August

Most people think of August as a month to play, and September a time to buckle down and work. Actually, it will be the opposite for you. August will be a very busy and productive month, where you will have to make a number of decisions about your everyday work life in response to fast moving events. September, on the other hand, will be slow, difficult, and confusing, with many events requiring that you backtrack and redo things.

September would not a month when you should be making any important decisions or announcements. The only way to deal with September will be to sit it out and hope for better days, which will arrive in October.

A Singapore Chick's Blog

I know Xia Xue is a famous blogger since 3 years ago but her blog seems to be not that attractive to me (there is some personal reasons, her make-ups and ...I don't wish to list out all of them). It did attract a lot of men, I guess.

Today, I am so boring and I browse to her blog and read through some articles she wrote. And I saw this link http://www.clicknetwork.tv/watch.aspx?c=1&p=8&v=231

Oh man, when I see a young girl making herself looks like a white chick, with pink top and pink-green short tide pant standing in front of the camera and exercising. OMG! *&(%&%$&*&@^$%$!

几岁了?(How old already?)

还在扮可爱!? (Pretending to be cute, still?)

The short clip showing her exercising, and a Singapore flag showed up on and off at each section. OMG! She is showing the whole world that Singapore has such OCBC chick!

I did know that her blog is informative (beauty, cosmetics, technology...so on) for a group of people, especially her photoshoshop skills that impressed me a lots, but....can't you just don't show up your body on the street with those funny colors clothes and the thick make-up over your face that cover the real you!?

For me, I cann't stand so far...pity me, still old fashion.

Next, I was having a mission -- to buy 100 pieces masks and deliver to Mid Valley for my dad to take them back to my mom. Since A-H1N1 is now spreading widely throughout Malaysia, the masks in my hometown are all sold out!

My dad with his friends came to Mid Valley level 3 Hall 3 for Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2009 (visit www.klpf.com.my). My dad is a amatur photographer, he takes a lot of nice photos, but that day, he and his friends (I tell you, my dad and his friends are definitely healthy and smart looking uncles but I forgot to take a photo of them) didn't bring any camera. He told me that there is nothing special to shoot; while I see many people taking their professional digi cam shooting here and there, hee...

New Born Nephew

Today is special day, my cousin Karen gives birth a baby boy. At the same day, my brother admitted to SMD for operation to remove sores.

Congratulation to my cousin for her new born baby, I know she has been suffer in the hospital for few days before she deliver. I cann't wait to see my nephew. There has been a long time I never seen such small and soft baby. A gift for her son, would be a stroller.

New Born Nephew (I don't know his name yet)

Nephew

Today reminds me of the day I gave birth my second child. There will be a lot of things to do for a new born baby, including breast feed the baby every 2 hours, bath her 2 times daily, my daughter crying non-stop when we bath her. That make troubles for us, other people would think that we threaten my daughter. Was wonder why did she dislike taking bath...hmm...

Now, my daughter is 4 years old and she definitely like 'water'!

Hope my brother get well soon.

Career, friendship, travel, and love are all on the agenda in this busy month, and with two eclipses coming up, life is about to change dramatically in the area of love and relationships. You have a lot on your agenda! Let's start at the beginning.

As you begin July, Mars will be finishing up a six-week journey through your travel sector. If you haven't had a chance to go on holiday - to a place on distant shores - you may be able to squeeze in a fun trip during July's first ten days. Do go if you can! Judging by your chart, you won't need to go alone. It seems you have a partner who will be happy to take off with you. Travel for business or pleasure for either type of trip would prove to be a fun experience, and if done for work, profitable, too...

It has been 9 years

From the time I give birth my first child, until I go back to study, then graduated, got my first job, change job, give birth another child, continue working...it has been 9 years.

I miss the time I was 16, I knew I am young, where as I won't gain any weight no matter what and when I take my meal. I won't get tired whenever I sleep or not.

I miss the time I was 19, when I think everything is possible, the time I think I'm young enough to try anything. I set targets for my life, I feel a lot of freedom. I meet college friends...

I miss the time I was 25, where I think I know a lot of things, I still have plenty of energy to fulfill my targets, start dreaming of what target I may complete at my age of 30. The age where I think I am still 'YOUNG'.

Now I am 27, or maybe almost..............28. Near to 30, yea...not to say old, but at least not young. I started to recall what is my targets, I used up my savings to save my mom (on her business debts), and to help my husband (on his business). I never do anything for myself, for the years I save my money and I thought I might be using them for my future own business. I started to doubt myself for what I save money.

Am I using it now? No.
Have I ever waste any single cent? No.
Am I using them to buy beautiful clothes? No.
Have I ever use them to buy expensive jewelry? No.
Have I ever use them to buy expensive facial products? No.

So, now what? I got my new theory. My theory now is you earn, and you spend. It's easy, just input and output. When you are this type of person, nobody will borrow money from you...but at last I still cannot get myself for becoming this type of object. Ha!

I never thought of get married so early, and don't know why I still can stay with my husband although there are a lot of quarrels and arguments, and I know this is not the time to questioning about them. I don't need to know what people think of me, I just live my life, do what I feel right.

No matter how stress and what happen, I know I am not the worst in this world. Everyday I go back home and be with my children, there are hopes. The same thing I found from my father, he always giving me that kind of feel. I would never forget, the hope that make me move further.

Thanks, dad.

Along the weeks, the images that always make me smile. I just can't hold my smile when they do some cute faces like these.

Thanks, kids.

Through The Eyes Of A Child

Why did we make it so hard~
It's like it so complicated~
until we see through the eyes of a child~

What next for this month?

The next things I am going to accomplish for the months July and August are:-

1. Web Templates store - for html templates and Drupal templates.
2. Get in the Nikon CoolPix 4500 Charger and start using my first digital camera!!

I found my Nikon coolpix 4500 charger at ebay.com.my, but I have debit card problem when making payment. Arrrrg! @#@$%#$!

The price I found it from Ebay.com.my is RM62 (price + shipping from Hong Kong). The price I get from the shop in Malaysia is RM200++ for full original set plus need to wait 2 months for ordering from oversea! The cheapest I can get is RM110, but just for charger only and is having different input voltage, damn it!

Why Why Why

While I was watching House on AXN channel.

Qing Qing: Maa...why is the uncles elbow injured?

Me: Because he careles.

Qing Qing: Why careless?

Me: Because he stupid.

Qing Qing: Why stupid?

(I know these 'why' will be non-stop)
Me: ...oh no...

Qing Qing: Why oh no?

Me: ...ah ha...

2009 June

Dumpling

The date now is 28th May 2009, in Lunar Calender, it is 5th day of the 5th month of the year. And, you know what today's meaning to us Chinese? Yes, it is Dumpling Day, called 端午节 (Duan Wu Jie), it's the day we miss our home again - Happy Dumpling Day.

In Chinese Traditions, the day like today our mom will wake up early (maybe 4/5 AM?), prepare all necessary foods and fruits, and some 'God Paper' to be burned to those in heaven (I think). I miss those old days, miss those delicious food prepared by my mom -- the DUMPLING!!!

My mom's dumplings are bit different from others, ours are white in color (It may because she is Hakka), other people like Hokkien and Teo Chew, they will make their dumpling in darker color, because they put plenty black soy sauce into the sticky dumpling rice.

And, I must say that my mom's dumpling is very big in size. She puts a lot of delicious stirred pork, mushrooms, Chestnuts...and some others different kind of beans....hmmmmm...yummy!

Nevertheless, I should say that I miss my home very much. I miss the day I can sleep late, and food is prepare on the table when I wake up, the day I don't need to work and don't have to use more than RM5 a day (or not even a single cent). I miss the night I can hang out with friends at Mamak, enjoying the delicious Nasi Lemak or various kind of Roti, plus talking nonsense with friends. Yea...those days that without any worry and responsibility.

Being Alone at Home

Terminator Salvation (T4) Marcus Wright School holidays started 30th May 2009 till 14th June 2009. I watch T4 with my family on Saturday (30/05/2009), I like the movie and the character in there - Marcus Wright (He plays a sad role, who doesn't know that he is a machine). He had chosen to give away his heart to Connor, I wonder why the script wrote in this way since everybody accepted him as a human, still he chooses to let go his second life. It is a sad story, and had touched everyone in the theater. The movie wouldn't be so interesting without his role as 'human robot'. The day after the movie, my parents bring my kids back to hometown, for letting them spend their school holidays in small town. I can't sleep well throughout the nights without my lovely daughters. It is like too quiet at home, no sound, no excitement, no life...I don't have to wake up 5:30 AM in the morning, but I can't sleep at night...! I started to feel that I turn into zombie! (Well, I thought I can rest during the school holidays)

IS-PLANNING-TO-QUIT

This slogan 'IS-PLANNING-TO-QUIT' has been hanging on my husband mouth for 10 years. Everytime I ask my husband to quit smoking, he will say: 'Soon!'

=== His answers ===
1. Yea...planning to quit
2. Okay, soon!
3. I wanted to...but..............(a long dots)
4. I know it's no good, I cant control.

=== My response ===
.....................................(Never ending dots)

=== My attempts to make him quit ===
1. Think of your daughters, would you like them to smoke?
2. Can you imagine if there was 1 day I have lung or nose cancer because of your smoking?
3. Can you imagine your lung is like the picture printed on the cigarette package?
4. How will it be if you have lung cancer and you don't have a chance to see them marry?
....(dots)

=== Conclusion ===
These all are not working...go back and tell yourself: NO USE!

There is only one person I've seen that can quit smoking, his friend: Chee Yang, who quit smoking since the day his father died from lung cancer.

Small Matter VS Big Matter

It is a nice to sleep Sunday morning, the weather has ever been so fresh since last two weeks. I woke up and went for breakfast with my family. It had been a busy week...(long story). My dad was admitted, then went for Chinese therapy at Tong San Hospital on Saturday morning because everybody thinks it is stroke! His left side face has no facial expression, and he felt unwell on his left arm.

And finally, here's the conclusion.

====================================
A nurse from Sunway Medical Centre give the following explanation to my dad:
"Do you believe in heat stroke?"
"But don't tell others your doctor says so, it's me who say this to you..."
"When we are exercise outdoor, and the sun is too heat out there, our body expose to the heat of the sun, then we will have heat stroke."
She said so to make my dad believe that his situation is only small matter.
====================================

On Saturday, my brothers accompany my dad to Sunway Medical Centre again, looked for his doctor KC Wong. The doctor told him, "Go to Tong San Hospital, look for Chinese doctor for a Acupuncture." Then, they went there. Although there are many patients, the Chinese doctor manage it very well and efficiency. In a short while, it was my dad's turn. According to my dad, here's what doctor said

====================================
After the Acupuncture
"OK, you can go home. Small matter. If you wanted to come again, sure. You'll need to pay."
====================================

Hey...it sounds small matter but to us, it is BIG matter! When it happens to your love one, I'm sure it is always BIG case! And finally, he gets more and more healthier after the diagnose in Sunway Medical Center and Acupuncture at Tong San Hospital.

Dad to earn money, Mom to stay home

My 4 years old daughter - Qing Qing's theory: Dad to earn $$, Mom to stay home...

It's Sunday, I am having breakfast with family, my dad was just got well from his 'Stroke'. We take 'light' breakfast some where nearby USJ house.

Qing Qing: Mom, I like you.

Me: Yea...me too.

Qing Qing: I like you to be at home with me.

Me: I have to work, and you must go to day care to study and make friends...

Qing Qing: I don't wanna study. I don't want you to work.

Me: I'll have no money to buy you food if I don't work, dear..

Qing Qing: O...Daddy can work and earn money, then give all the money to you.

Sit opposite of me, her grandma (My mother): Yes! You are right, Qing Qing!

Me: Yessss! Make sure you tell daddy about this...!

Qing Qing: Okay!

Bird Poop

Qing Qing: Mom, there is a poop on Uncle Xiang's car.

Me: Oh...that is bird's poop.

Qing Qing: Why doesn't it poop in its toilet?

Me: (Laughing)...because it doesn't own a toilet.

Qing Qing: Then, why does it like to poop on other people's car? Doesn't it know there is a car? It should fly to other tree and poop...

Me: Ya...it is so stupid, isn't it?

Qing Qing: Yea!

An innocent look of Qing Qing.

Sky Art and the Miracle

It has been a busy day as usual. I spotted this art from the sky...an art of nature.

It's looked like a phoenix, an angel like phoenix flies above us and show us miracle.

And, the miracle I have in my life are them.

They are -- HAPPY.NASTY.HEALTHY.LOVELY.CUTE

Yea, they own me. My precious.

I Finally Own One!

Yesss! This is what I wanna show off!

My first digital camera -- Nikon COOLPIX 4500

How I get this camera? HA!

Venue: My brother's house
Price: -
Features:
Nikon Unique Swivel design
4.0 Megapixel
4x Optical Zoom-Nikkon Lens (35mm format equivalent to 38-155mm)
5 Area Multi AutoFocus (Yeah! I always want this!)
Versatile Scene Modes
Auto pop-up built-in Speedlight
Movie with audio

When I am talking about my broken digi-cam, my dad showed me this. (I wanted this so much!) I ask anyone in the house
who still need this camera before I take it. The answer is no one...yeah! This is mine!

They proved to me why is there no one own this digi-cam.

First, the box and the Nikon Coolpix 4500 are placed separately. The box at the entertainment room, the cam in David's room.

Second, the softwares are put separately from the box, in my dad's room.

Third, nobody knows where's the charger...(this is the worst and is the reason why nobody retains this digi-cam.)

Finally, I own a Nikon Coolpix 4500 Digital Camera with no charger. Of course I will go to look for a replacement charger, and by using this digital camera, I will learn photography, I will take more photos.

After 15 years

When I was small, I always like to draw. I draw flowers, plants and portraits. It has been 15 years I never hold a pencil for drawing. This week, I decided to practice my drawing. See what I've done.

I miss the days I draw portraits, my brother said I've been doing it very well while I never think so. The drawing isn't complete, it doesn't feel like real people, something is not right, not live...hey...something is not right with the mouth, wrong positioning. It has eyes, nose and mouth at least.

I was not thinking of coming out a face of somebody around me, somehow the portrait end up looked like one of my friends.

It remind me of her! What do you think? (She will definitely kill me by putting her photo here.)

Don't ask why I didn't choose to study illustration. I also don't know.

Black Friday - Miss you Jackson, the legendary man in the mirror

Michael Jackson, 1958-2009

This morning is a weird morning, I turned to My FM, 988 FM, Fly FM, Mix FM and Hitz FM, all these FM are talking about the same thing -- Michael Jackson. When I reached office, my colleagues are also talking about Michael. Oh...finally I know. The King of POP is dead.

So, I search from the internet about this news...

"Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died," a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out shortly after the news was announced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

So many people wanted to verify the early reports of Jackson's death that the computers running Google's news section interpreted the fusillade of "Michael Jackson" requests as an automated attack for about half an hour Thursday evening.

In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

Text taken from http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31552029/ns/entertainment-music/

May you rest in peace, Michael.
